Memphis Mediator George H. Brown becomes Fellow of the prestigious International Academy of Mediators

Memphis - George H. Brown, former Circuit Court and Tennessee Supreme Court judge, has been selected for membership as a Fellow of the prestigious International Academy of Mediators his office announced today. Judge Brown has been a full-time mediator and arbitrator with Resolute Systems of Memphis since leaving the bench in 2005.

"I am honored to be a part of such a dynamic and prestigious group of mediators," Brown said. "Having just returned from their London advanced mediation program, I have the highest regard for this outstanding group of the top commercial mediators from throughout the world."

Membership in the Academy is by invitation only. Status as a Fellow in the Academy is indicative of the recognition by peers and by the marketplace of the Fellows stature as a preeminent, highly skilled, ethical and respected commercial mediator. The Academy fosters the highest standards of integrity and competence in the mediation of commercial disputes. Promoting the study and understanding of the mediation process, and educating the public, courts and legislative bodies on effective and appropriate uses of mediation are at the core of IAM's mission. The Academy also encourages friendly association among the members of the profession and cooperation with other organizations, institutions and societies interested in mediation, according to the IAM's mission statement.
